Getting into Darlington Raceway is easy, as long as you know what to expect. From security checks to ticket scanning and parking tips, here's everything you need to know before stepping through the gates for race day. Plan ahead, arrive early, and get ready for an unforgettable experience at the track.
All bags and personal items will be inspected upon entry. To avoid any issues, please double-check what’s allowed before arriving at the gate. Items like fan gear, pre-packaged snacks, and drinks are typically fine, but anything on the prohibited list will be confiscated and discarded. In more serious cases, bringing banned items may lead to removal from the event or being banned from future races. Bags must not exceed 18"x18"x14", and clutch bags or fanny packs should be no larger than 4.5"x6.5".
You’ll need a valid ticket to enter Darlington Raceway. The easiest way is to keep your ticket saved on your phone, but we highly recommend bringing a printed backup in case your phone dies or malfunctions. Usually, you’ll only need to show your ticket when prompted by staff.
For the Cook Out Southern 500, be prepared–parking fills up fast. Both free and paid parking options are available near the track. We recommend arriving early to avoid delays.
