TIPS FOR THE RACE WEEKEND

Tips for Getting the most out of your Darlington Raceway weekend!

Arrive Early

Try to get to the track early, especially on race day. Sundays are typically the busiest, so arriving by around 10 a.m. will give you enough time to park, pass through security, and soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed or stuck in traffic.

Plan Ahead

Traffic around Darlington can be heavy during the race weekend. Plan your route and parking in advance if possible. Purchasing a parking pass ahead of time and allowing extra time for arrival and departure will make your experience smoother.

Prepare for the Heat

August in South Carolina can be extremely hot and humid. Bring sunscreen, wear a hat, and light, breathable clothing, and be sure to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Have a Plan

Decide in advance which parts of the venue you want to explore–whether it’s the fan zone, merchandise stalls, or your grandstand seats. If you're attending with a group, keep in mind that mobile reception may be unreliable, especially on race day. It’s a good idea to choose a meeting spot ahead of time in case you get separated.
